Czech speciality!

Thursday the 13th of September two ladies (Margit and Helle) and two Ridgebacks (DD and Mandie) took of for a prolonged weekend in the Czech Republic: a day in Prague and then the Czech Speciality with 176 Ridgebacks entered. As neither Margit (Mandies co-owner) or I are seasoned international show people we were quite excited.
The drive to Prague was very smooth but took 12 hours with a few breaks for the dogs. So after checking into our hotel in the center of Prague we were quite ready for a walk in the city. The dogs loved the city bustle - esp. DD enjoyed sniffing all the gossip about lovely Czech male dogs on all the lamp posts, where Mandie got into sampling the local beer. Prague turned out to be a real dog friendly city, the waiter in the restaurant wanted to talk about the dogs and we were photographed and welcomed with "krasnaya" "krasnaya" (beautiful) all over.
