Yankee's lines shines through at Czech show

At the Czech Club show, where DD and Mandie also did well, a group of half siblings and -cousins also did exceedingly well: of the 11 Yankee puppies and grandpuppies present, 9 got placed in their class! Congratulations to:

DD's Critiques

 Frank dePaolo- saturday the 15th of September:

nice medium size bitch, nice neck, front, topline, croup and angulation, good movement from side, when moving up and down she throws legs to sides.

Czech speciality: DD best open bitch #2 twice

What a weekend DD, Mandie Helle and Margit have had! not only did we have a wonderful day walking in Prague having the dogs admired as never before, but at the show where judges Frank dePaolo and Alicia Mohr Hanna judged DD to best open class bitch no. 2 on both days and Mandie got best puppy in show #3 also under both judges.
DD also won best movements #3 out of a very large and tough class!

Czech speciality!

Thursday the 13th of September two ladies (Margit and Helle) and two Ridgebacks (DD and Mandie) took of for a prolonged weekend in the Czech Republic: a day in Prague and then the Czech Speciality with 176 Ridgebacks entered. As neither Margit (Mandies co-owner) or I are seasoned international show people we were quite excited.
The drive to Prague was very smooth but took 12 hours with a few breaks for the dogs. So after checking into our hotel in the center of Prague we were quite ready for a walk in the city. The dogs loved the city bustle - esp. DD enjoyed sniffing all the gossip about lovely Czech male dogs on all the lamp posts, where Mandie got into sampling the local beer. Prague turned out to be a real dog friendly city, the waiter in the restaurant wanted to talk about the dogs and we were photographed and welcomed with "krasnaya" "krasnaya" (beautiful) all over.
